ARCHITtheque was established by Hitesh R. Khatri to provide Architectural and Interior Design services for a diverse range of projects, geared to accomplish your goals, your visions and your aspirations.

With 15 years of extensive experience in Canada, Hitesh Khatri, a registered architect with Ontario Association of Architects with a Certificate of Practice in Ontario, established ARCHITtheque to pursue his own practice and contribute to the society and the planet.
After completing his Bachelor Degree in Architecture in 1986 from Bengal Engineering College under Calcutta University, Hitesh has worked in India, Sultanate of Oman, and Canada.
With strong design and technical skills background, Hitesh has implemented every project with his pro-active and energetic approach and with an attention for detail. Regardless of the project size or type, he is ready to provide a functional design, sustainable practices in design and construction, and an aesthetically pleasing built environment. With any project, he is ready to meet your needs and budget, while exceeding your expectations.
Hitesh has always been a champion for green, building strategies and is LEED Accredited Professional. All projects, whether it be for the intention of registering for LEED certification or not, are designed, specified, constructed to achieve sustainability.
OUR APPROACH
ARCHITtheque focuses on work that is relevant and functional for both new constructions and renovations.
Our collaborative approach engages the client and consultants during the entire design process. We believe contractors, crafts persons, vendors, and all participants can contribute at every level of the design process, and that patient and respectful exchanges between all involved leads to the best decision making and the desired outcome.
Our process starts with an early analysis and interpretation of the client’s needs through careful consideration of the site and program. We explore the space, the materials, and any creative way to meet the budget and the needs. It is our belief that every project is unique, thus each design response should be diverse and a reflection of the participants involved. It is our goal to exceed the client’s vision despite the most stringent budgets.

The architectural services, which address both the design and the construction, can be listed in its sequential phases as:

We keep in mind that not every project will need each and every one of these services, and some project may even need additional services such as Assessment, Facility Programming, Zoning Compliance, Heritage Compliance and Approval, Site Plan Agreement, Conservation Approval, Marketing and Promotion, Post Construction Services, Building Analysis and Report, Life Cycle Cost Monitoring, Warranty Inspection, Environmental Monitoring, etc.
Approval from Authorities, in form of Building Permit, are part of the services. Structural, Mechanical and Electrical Engineering sub-consultants will be hired by ARCHITtheque, where required. We will collaborate with the engineers providing you with a complete package. We will provide recommendations on procuring Legal Surveys, Geotechnical Analysis, Environmental Studies, Life Cycle Cost Studies if needed.
Fees will be worked out based on the project requirement, services expected to complete the project and the complexities of the project, and as laid down by Royal Architectural Institute of Canada (RAIC) fees structure.
